Apartment no.19

Interior architecture project for a three room apartment. The original layout was redesigned, and the kitchen entrance was moved from the left to the right part of the living room, thus space for a storage area in the left part was increased and the living room now has more daylight. A metal door with glass filling is visually connecting the kitchen with the living area and providing natural lighting to the inner part of the apartment. Interventions were made in the living/kitchen areas to bring regularity and natural light to the space. This new partition maintains the two areas physically separate while framing the view of the kitchen. The main idea of the kitchen was to get rid of the L-shaped work surface and divide it into two parts to be more aesthetically pleasing, and functional, so everything is accessible and there is space for everything. The bathroom was also made a little more spacious. The living is divided into two zones. The tv and sofa area and the coffee table zone. Lounge chairs to make an inviting sitting spot by the window. The coffee table zone is also a dining area. The expandable coffee table is transformed into a […]

Apartment B

The project is a full renovation and transformation of an apartment located in a building from the 1940s into a new, more open design. The apartment hasn’t seen even minor repairs for more than 40 years. The layout is preserved almost intact. We added another bathroom and removed three interior doors, to acquire and maximize usable space and to meet modern needs while retaining its former charm. The owners wanted to keep the original double doors and the herringbone pattern floor. The existing oak parquet required re-fixing and refinishing, to be restored. More pictures soon.

Apartment no.2

Our client had a typical Romanian apartment that hasn’t seen any repairs for 40 years. The interior layout conditioned the design and distribution of the space. We made small changes to improve the relationship between spaces, solving storage issues and reconfiguring the kitchen area. The existing pantry (near the kitchen) and a small portion of the hallway were integrated into the kitchen to maximize the countertop area and allow for the addition of a table. The door from the living room to the small hallway next to the bathroom has been removed for greater functionality and convenience. We replaced the swinging door of the loggia with a sliding glass door to allow more light and easy access. Importance was given to small details, looking for practical and aesthetic solutions. The style is clean and simple. Hues of grey extend throughout the entire apartment with deep colour accents such as the turquoise kitchen furniture or deep blue sofa. We opted for white furniture in the bedrooms and living room. The kitchen and bedroom closets are custom designed by us.

Studio AA

Interior design and custom furniture for a 1 bedroom studio in Constanta. The space is designed for renting on short-term. We created a slatted wooden divider to delineate the living area from the sleeping area and allow the light to pass through, while still providing a bit of privacy. The custom room divider incorporates a small storage area and the TV swivel stand, which allow the TV screen to be rotated and serve both areas. For a minimalist approach and to make cleaning easier, a cement floor is chosen throughout the studio. The studio has subtle off-white walls, combined with green accents and wood panels. The green accents in the furniture, small furnishings and wallpaper, contrast very nicely with the concrete surfaces and the off-white walls. The kitchen extended countertop, which also acts as a table divides the kitchen from the living area. All the light pendants are black to strike a more minimalist style aesthetic in the apartment. Apartment no.33

Works involved the reconfiguration of a 2 bedroom apartment, in order to obtain a new bedroom.  The functional challenge was fitting the living room into the new kitchen. As a result, the initial living room was transformed into a bedroom, and the kitchen has now a living area. The living space is divided into two zones: kitchen - preparing area and living zone - for socialising. Terrazzo like tiles and wooden floors divide the area into two equal zones. We were also tasked with adding as much storage as possible. We custom designed the entire furniture. Furniture: Mobileaza Frumos
